Rollinson Publlishing Co. was invited to present The Elements of Rhythm, Vols. I & II, at the 14th Rhythm Production and Perception Workshop, hosted by The University of Birmingham, September 11-13, 2013.

 

Publisher/author David R. Aldridge attended and presented the books in the form of a poster display, offered between three days of lectures and discussions.

 

There was great interest from the academic community, including several drummers from among the esteeemed group of researchers.

 

An abstract of the poster presentation was also printed in Frontiers, an on-line academic journal.

The topic, Binary Rhythm Pattern Theory and a Binary Rhythm Pattern Indexing System, was the only one of its kind at the workshop.
